With the celebration of Independence Day on the 4th of July quickly approaching, there sometimes is a scramble to come up with some fun and festive decor.  The 4th of July can be one of the easiest holidays to decorate for by keeping a few simple tips and tricks in mind.

Red, White and Blue.  Gather objects together from around the house featuring those American colors.  Pillows, a throw, a bowl of apples or even some white or red carnations can add a pop of color to the room.

Showcase a bold graphic with banners and flag designs.

Large flags are impressive but even a smaller flag can do the trick.

One colorful wreath or centerpiece sporting red, white and blue can really brighten up a room.

And what says, “party” more than having a meal outside?  Bringing the kitchen table out onto the lawn can make an ordinary meal, extraordinary.  Draping the table in multiple table cloths or even colorful sheets or quilts can create that garden party feel.

Just a few paper decorations can make a big impact.  (Especially when placed in an unexpected area.)

And probably the easiest way to show your true colors in your 4th of July decor is to pop a few miniature flags around or group them together in a patriotic centerpiece.

What are your plans for the 4th?  Any fun and easy decorating ideas?
