All That Glitters Is Gold (Liquid Gold Flower Pot)

Sometimes, all that is needed is a little bit of gold.

Just a tad of shiny brightness.

To transform a tired, old piece into something new.  And such was the case with my orchid pot.

The orchid pot originally, wasn’t very pretty.

Dusty, hairy and full of cobwebs.

Quite embarrassing, really.

It seemed to be suited more for the garbage bin than anything else.

But, I decided to bring the unfortunate pot back to life.  It’s true.

All it took was a thorough scrubbing, a little trimming and a touch of gold.

I painted the pot with Liquid Leaf paint.  (It was the same gold leaf I used on the terra-cotta pots.)  It had great coverage and I only needed to use a bit.

Good-bye, sad, dusty pot.  Hello, gilded golden goodness!

So what about you?  Have you transformed a unlikeable item lately using the Midas touch?
