Ridiculously Easy No Sew Blind (Redesigned)

The New Year is spurring on big, delicious change.

Updates, plans, remodels, makeovers and a fresh start.

And one of my first projects of 2014 is a redesign on my Ridiculously Easy No Sew Blind.

No Sew Blind

This extremely simple blind became the surprise hit of 2013.  It was a quick fix to a basic problem that became quite useful.

And as much as I loved the bright pattern during the Summer months, I also wanted a sleek, Winter option.

So, I basically made the same blind (tutorial here).

This time though, I used a thin white sheet for the fabric.  I added greek key trim at the top.  (Reminiscent of my embellished living room drapes.)

It must be a decorating rule that you must have pom-pom trim hanging somewhere in your home.  I’m quite certain of it.

So, here is version 2.0 of the ridiculously easy no sew blind.  Winter edition.

What big ideas do you have on tap for 2014?

  4. I imagine you’ll get lots of traffic with bloggers and readers telling about their projects afoot and ahead.
I love your shade, the summer one, especially for me, colors on the shade are really pretty, love the IKAT print. When I first started seeing ikat wasn’t too sure I liked it but it’s grown on me. Hobby Lobby has some really nice heavier fabric with ikat patterns so I’ll be looking at that for shade for our back door. I’ll have to line shade tho as in Summer our back door facing west gets quite hot. Have to use a shade on window by door also. In Winter need one to keep mud room warmer. I’d like to actually make a shade for both window and door. Glad I saw this post as it’s inspiring me to make new covers for door/window. Can get the fabric with 40% off coupon. Usually when they have it on sale it’s only 30% off.
Besides above project, I’m making bedroom curtains with clearance table cloths from Target and working on purging/organizing craft room, badly needs it. So I’ll have plenty to keep me busy over winter.
    Happy weekend

  5. Love it! The black & white trim is perfect…along with the pom poms.

  7. I love your idea and both fabrics. I am a little like you, in that I have lived here for 2 1/2 years and still have not made a blind for my back door… BUT, I have deer head silhouettes and jute wrapped wine bottles… LOL . I am putting this on my to do list for this weekend! I SWEAR!!! Thank you for a great idea – using magnets is genius! Julia

  8. However, it is when animals are involved that we should
question whether human fatalities should be considered unfortunate “accidents,” or
par for the course. You can show the results of using your product in “before and after” pictures.
When an exchange of questions is performed correctly, the salesperson and the buyer have an opportunity
